Voice over IP Solutions
Voice over IP Solutions:
In layman’s terms, VoIP is making and taking a call through the internet (Data) instead of over a line or hard cable. The only thing required to make a VoIP call is a Sib line (Phone number) and data on one end. VoIP also uses a limited amount of data (Bandwidth) and requires a lot less speed. Although VoIP requires a good internet connection either via ADSL, LTE Data, Wireless Link, or Fibre.
VoIP is the best telephone solution for any sized company and or home office. It is also the most cost-effective when it comes to your monthly telephone bill.
There are also endless possibilities because you will be connected to a cloud-based or hosted PBX system with endless possibilities.
In your current network environment is easy to implement a VoIP system and you have 2 options:
- Is to have one network. Assuming you have network cabling installed you can just add the right equipment to enable VoIP on the network and use 1 network cable from Wall to Phone to PC. You will use the same internet line for both Data and Voice
- Recommended: Have a separate network for Data and for Voice. This means one network cable for your PC and one network cable for your VoIP Phone. You will also in most cases need an additional internet link for VoIP (ADSL, Fibre, etc.)
